Fiona Wood

Fiona left school to train as a dental nurse, a role she greatly enjoyed, however quickly she got involved in the management and business aspects of running a practice. This sparked her innate entrepreneurial flair and her career pathway within business and management began.

Fiona started within the recruitment industry and over a period of seven years, worked her way up to becoming Operations Director. This opened up an opportunity to move back into Healthcare where which she has subsequently worked in businesses specialising in laser eye surgery, optics, and pharmacy before finally moving back into dentistry.

With over 20 years of operational experience managing multi-site and leading teams, Fiona loves the challenges and opportunities that high-level managerial roles demand with the constant quest to help run best-in-class, sector leading businesses.

Fiona has been with Clyde Munro since January 2016, joining as Acquisition and Integration Director and being responsible for the early growth successes of the business. She was promoted to Chief Operating Officer less than two years later and is now responsible for the group’s Operations, Marketing and Facilities.

Outside work, Fiona loves spending time with her family and friends and is mum to two teenage twins. She loves going for long walks with her Great Dane, Isla and jumping with her horse, Star.
