GDC Number: 68815
Clive graduated from Glasgow University in 1993, and began developing his clinical skills in general practice in Glasgow and Lenzie. Having made the decision to run his own dental practice, Clive worked at a steady pace challenging himself in the acquisition of further clinical skills such as the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners as well as Diplomas in sedation and implant dentistry. Not only did this see the business to develop and prosper, the addition of these skills has allowed Clive to develop as a dental practitioner and his approach also to dealing with the family of patients under his care is always positive.
It is a testament to Clive’s drive, stamina, intellect and team working abilities that in just over 10 years he was able to turn Clyde Dental from a single surgery practice in Clydebank to a multi practice network of care sites across central Scotland, with a city centre referral suite for more challenging dental cases. Not content with this, Clive decided to start a dental products company during Christmas of 2014, determined to get the best prices on essential supplies for his practices at source.
However foremost Clive is the head of a family. He has been married to Kim for 23 years and they have three children, Lucas, Nathan and Miranda. This ‘pater familias’ approach extends to the many young dentists he has talent spotted at the Glasgow Dental Hospital while working as a visiting general dental practitioner. Clive seeks to support and develop exceptional intellectual and clinical ability, and his mentoring ability is legendary.
Clive does occasionally relax and he enjoys going to the gym, cooking, growing vegetables, skiing, scuba diving as well as visiting the theatre, concerts and cinema. He is also a Star Wars geek!
