Your role

As well as completing your SVQ and PDA in Dental Nursing, you will also be gaining practical skills on the job through our Strive Trainee Development Programme. You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance. Other duties include

 

  • Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
  • Maximising the use of the internal system to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
  • Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
  • Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensuring necessary lab work and equipment is in place
  • Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
  • Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

Whilst you will be primarily based in a particular practice, you may be asked at times to provide support and cover to other Clyde Munro practices within the region.

 

About You

As you will be provided with training, you do not need to have any Dental Nursing experience. However, in order to be successful in the role, we do ask that you are –

 

  • Interested in starting a career in the Dental Industry
  • Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
  • Able to work on your own as well as part of a team
  • Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care

Your Role

  • Must be GDC registered

Diamond Dental provide Glasgow with private and NHS dental treatment of the highest standard, offering our patients all basic and emergency treatments as well as crowns, porcelain veneers, bridges and dentures, cosmetic dentistry including Invisalign. Our 5 surgery practice is fully equipped with digital x.rays, digital scanner, rotary endo (for NHS and Private use) and apex locator. We also have a Dental Hygienist available for our patient’s care. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
