Dental Implants

Permanently replace missing teeth.

Dental implants from Clyde Munro are permanent replacements for missing teeth. They can be used to replace just a single tooth, a series of teeth or an entire smile, replicate the look and feel of real teeth with the potential to last your lifetime. Dental implants aren’t just about function and aesthetics. They can dramatically improve your quality of life.

At one of our smile design consultations, we’ll look at the areas you’d like to improve and create a bespoke plan to transform the overall appearance of your smile.

Depending on your requirements, this may involve one or more procedures, working within your budget and towards your aesthetic goal. Your resulting smile will be all yours – only better.

Dental implants can:

  • Permanently replace missing teeth. Unlike crowns, bridges and dentures, which have to be replaced over the years, dental implants can be a lifelong solution if cared for properly.
  • Restore your confidence and quality of life. With dental implants, you can once again take for granted the ability to eat, speak and smile without discomfort or fear of embarrassment.
  • Help you look younger for longer. Because dental implants are integrated into your jawbone, they keep it supported and prevent the shrinkage that causes the premature facial sagging many people experience as they age.
  • Secure your dentures. Implants have multiple uses, one of which is to secure dentures in place to prevent any slipping or movement and the unpleasant use of denture fixture adhesive.

Dental implant options at our Scotland practices

Single-tooth Replacement

Replacing a single tooth with a dental implant is a straightforward procedure that usually involves minimal invasion or discomfort. Your dental implant will support a bespoke prosthetic tooth created in a dental lab according to your exact specifications, and will look, feel and function just like a natural tooth.

Replacing Multiple Teeth

We do not need to replace each missing tooth with individual implants. Instead, we use the absolute minimum number of dental implants to minimise overall cost and visits for our patients, while supporting the maximum number of teeth.

Full-arch Implants

If you currently wear dentures, or are facing the prospect of multiple extractions, full-arch implants can offer the perfect solution. You won’t need to replace every tooth with a dental implant; instead, as few as four dental implants can be placed to support an entire arch of teeth.

Implant-retained Dentures

If you experience sore spots or movement with your existing dentures, consult us about the possibility of implant-retained dentures, which secure your dentures in place and are removable for cleaning. As few as two dental implants per jaw can be used to secure your dentures. It’s a cost-effective option with all the benefits of a stronger bite, a confident smile and teeth that don’t move.
