Composite Bonding

Enhance your smile.

Composite bonding (or dental bonding) involves the application of white composite resin on the teeth, the same material used in white fillings. The composite resin is carefully shaped and smoothed to match the surrounding teeth by your dentist, improving the appearance of your smile. Once applied the resin is then hardened with an ultraviolet light, allowing your dentist to further define and shape the resin to match the rest of your teeth. We are proud to provide this treatment at our practices across Scotland.

What is composite bonding used for?

Composite bonding is one of the easiest and most affordable cosmetic dental treatments and can be used to resolve a number of imperfections or issues you’d like to fix, including:

  • Enhancing the shape and colour of your tooth, or multiple teeth
  • Increasing the length of your tooth, or multiple teeth to create a fuller smile
  • Fixing cracked or chipped teeth
  • Removing gaps between teeth

Equally, if you are generally happy with your teeth but just wish to make your smile brighter and more complete, then composite bonding could be just the thing.
