Jim Hall

Jim has been the driving force behind Clyde Munro Dental Group’s rapid expansion and ongoing success. In 2015 he identified the opportunity for a Scottish-based dental group that had community service and patient engagement at its heart. The newly formed business made its first acquisition of seven practices in November that year.

The group has gone from strength to strength, now comprising 70 practices across Scotland and looking after 12% of the Scottish population. Clyde Munro continues to grow with new practices joining regularly and is a European leader in the application and implementation of digital dentistry.

Jim has a passion for innovation and working closely with his teams to deliver demonstrable success. He has a determined vision that Clyde Munro will be at the forefront of delivering patient care across all of Scotland’s communities. His commitment lies in investing in cutting-edge technology and leading the way in providing access to the latest innovations.

Jim is often heard to quote “I have been in the ‘smiles’ business for most of my career”. This stems from him having spent 27 years before founding Clyde Munro, in leadership roles at Polaroid where the healthcare market was a significant part of his business responsibility.

Outside of work, Jim likes nothing better than spending time with his four grandchildren and in particular taking them for an ice cream and a walk along the beach in St Andrews where he lives. Jim is also a classic car fan and enjoys a drive in his 42 year old Land Rover (when it’s working!).
