We welcome new NHS and private patients
The entire team at Muirhead Dental Care believe in providing the best possible care to both our NHS and private patients. Under the NHS, we provide a broad range of treatments, including examinations, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures, root canal treatment and scaling/polishing. We also have a wide range of private treatments to offer, including cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics.
Over 100 years of experience in dentistry!
Within our dental team, we have amassed over 100 years of experience in dentistry. This means we are well-practised in providing the best dental care to our patients.
The highest standards in dental care
We have invested in technology to make sure we can deliver the best service to our patients. Our practice system is fully computerised, which makes us very efficient and keeps all our patient records secure but accessible. We also use digital X-ray equipment to help us take accurate X-rays at the lowest possible radiation dose to keep our patients safe.

Eva graduated from North Lanarkshire Dental School in 1979. From there, she worked in a North Lanarkshire practice gaining experience in a vast range of dental procedures. In 1981, Eva decided to set up her own practice in Muirhead, not far from where she lived at the time. She worked single-handedly to build a reputation of providing quality dental care in a caring family-friendly environment.
Eva’s caring and compassionate nature is the reason that patients have stayed loyal to her for 35 years, and during those years she has had the pleasure of treating different generations of families.
In her spare time, Eva likes to play tennis and work out in the gym. She also likes nothing better than to spend time with her family – especially her grandchildren.

Joyce has been working here at Muirhead Dental Care since its foundation in 1981. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience, originally as a nurse and now as a very competent and capable director of our team.
She is our “problem solver” and her help and advice given in her warm, caring manner is invaluable to both staff and patients alike.
Despite the many demands of the practice, Joyce still manages to find time to enjoy her great love of horse riding and to spend time with her expanding family.
At Clyde Munro, we understand that private dentistry is an investment – one that we endeavour to make possible for everyone. We keep our treatment prices fair and reasonable so that all our patients can access not just the treatments they need, but the treatments they want.
NHS dental examinations in Scotland are free of charge for everyone (though we may charge for failed appointments if no advance notice is given). Following your examination, you will be advised of any treatment required and the likely cost, unless you are eligible for free NHS dentistry. We accept NHS patients if they are exempt from paying under the terms of the NHS, otherwise patients may pay as they go or join our dental plan.
