We recently expanded our Clinical Support Team, which we are delighted to introduce below.
Published: 22 April 2024
Callum Graham
Chief Clinical Officer
Callum graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 1999, having changed careers from engineering. He bought his first practice in 2004 extending this to 3 practices over the next 8 years, developing a keen interest in new technologies within implant, laser and digital dentistry. He is a previous Vocational Trainer and still has close ties with helping new graduates and young dentists develop their skills and discover the joys of dentistry. Callum has had extensive training in dental implantology and is now a Key Opinion Leader, trainer and mentor in this field. He also trains and mentors in sedation techniques, smile design and makeovers, cosmetic dentistry and the planning and delivery of digital treatments. In 2015 he decided to return to full-time dentistry and sell his practices to concentrate on patient care and clinical dentistry. He sold his last practice to Clyde Munro in 2019 and will continue to split his time between clinical care and his duties as Chief Clinical Officer and Head of Advanced Dentistry for the group.
David McColl
Senior Clinical Advisor
Dr David McColl qualified from Glasgow University in 1987 and worked as an associate for 3 years before purchasing two practices in Glasgow. After operating both for 14 years, he decided to concentrate his efforts on one of the businesses, which now has five surgeries and provides care for 13,000 patients. David has been active in dental politics for more than 20 years and is currently the chair of The Scottish Dental Practice Committee, which represents all non-salaried dental practitioners in negotiations and discussions with Scottish Government in relation to the delivery of NHS dentistry. He is vice chair of the GP subcommittee of the local dental committee and area dental committee of Greater Glasgow and Clyde. David is also a board member of the Scottish Public Pensions Authority.
John Cameron
Senior Clinical Advisor
After working in oral surgery and general dental practice as an associate and practice owner and working with Dental Protection, John Cameron became a dental adviser at MDDUS and then senior dental adviser at PSD. He has extensive experience in dental practice regulations and recently retired from his role as a senior clinical Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen Dental Institute, where he was the lead for Law, Ethics, Professionalism and Management. John assists overseas dentists as they join Clyde Munro, particularly with regard to GDC, NHS Regulations and is involved in the VT equivalence programme. He is also Chairman of the Dentists’ Health Support Trust.
Angela Harkins
Regional Clinical Support Manager
Dr Angela Harkins is a Glasgow graduate in both Dentistry and Medical Law and Ethics with a passion for dentistry and supporting colleagues as a clinician and adviser. While a practice principal of 16 years, Angela worked as a dentolegal advisor for indemnity organisations for over 11 years. Currently, Angela combines her role as a Clinical Teaching Fellow and lecturer in Medical Law, Ethics and Professionalism in Dentistry, at the University of Glasgow with being an examiner Faculty of Forensic Law and Medicine. Supporting colleagues in different roles including being an LDC member while in practice and having represented West Coast of Scotland at the GDP Subcommittee of BDA, the varied roles have allowed an insight into the challenges facing dentists today. Angela also enjoys the opportunity to support the clinical journey of dental associates and colleagues at Clyde Munro.

During his 17 years of practice ownership, he was a VT trainer for 12 years and has also worked in a specialist referral practice for the past 4 years. Charlie has also developed a special interest in Sports dentistry.

Aisling has also completed advanced training in anatomy and managing non-surgical treatment complications at the RCS (Eng). She is an aesthetic practitioner and mentor for Clyde Munro as part of the Clinical Support Team.
