Torwood Dental Practice

Anya qualified from Dundee University in 2016 and carried out her vocational training year in Torwood Dental Practice. She stayed at Torwood Dental Practice as an Associate and has been working here since.

Anya enjoys that her job allows her to work in a hands-on environment and one on one with patients, priding herself on building strong relationships with her patients. She strives to deliver high-quality dental treatment in a caring environment.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling both abroad and across Scotland to visit friends and family as well as taking her 2 dogs for walks at the weekend.

Deirdre qualified from Queens University Belfast in 2010 and has worked at Torwood Dental Practice since 2015.

She prides herself on building good relationships with patients, striving to deliver high-quality dentistry in a caring and friendly manner. Deirdre enjoys working with anxious patients and children, helping them to leave the surgery with a smile on their faces.

Outside of work, she likes to keep fit, socialise with friends and spend time with her German Shepherd.

Lynsey graduated from Aberdeen Dental School in 2013 and has since worked in several practices in Aberdeenshire, Stornoway and Inverness. She has over 20 years of experience working with patients, first as a specialist dietitian in kidney failure before retraining as a dentist. She additionally has a BSc (Hons) in Dietetics and an MSc in Diabetes, and counselling skills training.

Lynsey provides Invisalign treatments at Torwood. She enjoys looking after her patients, especially those with dental anxiety, and making them feel relaxed and at ease throughout their treatment.

Yvonne graduated from the University of Glasgow where she won the Glasgow Dental Education Trust Prize and the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Prize.  Being fully committed to professional development, Yvonne regularly attends conferences and training events. She has also undertaken formal hypnosis training with the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis BSMDH (Scotland).

Yvonne treats both private and NHS patients in Torwood and also does work for the Out-of-hours dental emergency service.  Her friends and colleagues would describe Yvonne as a friendly and chatty individual who treats her patients like she would a member of her own family.

In her spare time, Yvonne enjoys exploring the Highlands with her husband and their dog Odie.
